Day 16 – “It’s Morning! It’s Morning!”

Standard

“It’s Morning” by Jaymie Gerard

It’s morning!  It’s morning!

The sun has just come out

It’s morning!  It’s morning!

The birdies seem to shout

It’s morning!  It’s morning!

Time for a new day

It’s morning!  It’s morning!

Goodbye to yesterday

Day 14 – “Just Applesauce”

Standard

“Just Applesauce” By Jaymie Gerard

Why is there just applesauce?

There should be grape sauce too

And peach sauce, and pear sauce

And sauce of honeydew

Banana sauce, blueberry sauce

And plum sauce would be yummy

Pineapple sauce and cherry sauce

Would do well in my tummy

Sauce of kiwi and papaya –

A delicious tropic treat

And thick and fresh strawberry sauce

Would make my night complete

What fun to eat these things mashed up

I’m just a fruity fan

But since these sauces don’t exist

I’ll have to stick with jam

Day 10 – “Paint Me a Picture”

Standard

“Paint Me a Picture” by Jaymie Gerard

Paint me a picture

Sing me a song

Give me a giggle

Bring me along

Write me a riddle

Tell me a clue

Shine me a smile

I love you

Day 8 – “Winter vs. Summer”

Standard

“Winter vs. Summer” by Jaymie Gerard

When the frigid winter

Makes me chilly, makes me shake

I try to picture for Summer

So the cold I can forsake

And when the boiling Summer

Makes me sticky, and so sweaty

I always wish for Winter

So the heat I can forgetty

Day 5 – “Grapefruit”

Standard

Grapefruit by Jaymie Gerard

There’s one fruit I can say I hate

(Though others seem to think it’s great)

It looks kind of like an orange but

You’ll smell the difference when it’s cut

It’s usually a softball’s size

And yellowish or pink inside

It’s bitter, even with some sugar

The pulp, to me, feels like a booger

It’s just the worst, you can’t debate –

So Mom, WHY IS IT ON MY PLATE?!
